My days are not very eventful...

However for me this is actually one, sad I know. So my hubby's birthday is Monday and we are trying not to spend a ton of money these days (kinda comes when you don't exactly have a steady income), and he once upon a time (yes, apparently I like that phrase) asked me for a specific present, I can't tell you what it is, because, well, he can totally get on here and find out, so you can find out when he does. So anyways, I took a little drive up north and got the present and then stopped at Cabela's on the way back for the sole purpose of getting FUDGE, let me tell you I've tried many many places and I've tried making it many times myself, but it never comes close to this stuff. So when we got home first thing we did, me and the boys went on a walk so that I could justify eating said yummy fudge. We also visited with some neighbors, came home and enjoyed some fudge. Fed the boys and down for naps they went. I've yet to really make anything today, too busy enjoying the fudge, but I guess we'll see...also coming up the story of my miracle babies...sometime soon anyways :) Oh but I did get these cute pictures today of my little guys...

Lunch...

Because I said I would probably post something on here about food now and again. Today was Swedish Meatballs, but I did it about as easy as it gets. I took premade meatballs threw them in a pan, added a can of cream of mushroom and half the can worth of cream, then about a teaspoon of beef boulliuon, and some water and heated it up. To go with it I grabbed some egg noodles and boiled them up, tossed the 2 together and it was a fast, easy, yummy dinner...One day I may have to work on the nutrition part of it.

My Hubby....

So a little more get to know you...this time about how me and my hubby ended up together. We've known each other since I was about 4, he's 3 years older than me and actually had a brother my age named Trevor. His family lived just up the street from us in Springville till I was 10 and then my moved to Orem. We had kind of kept in touch, his dad was my brothers scout master and they still came to my families weddings. So, my little sister got married in April 2008 and he came, I did the food for the wedding and his mom told him he should ask me out. Come November he finally did and it was to an Institute dance. I was taking my little little sister Emilee to a dance performance in Salt Lake City and he left a voicemail on my phone. My other sister Kayley was with us and when we heard the message she told me had to go, along with pretty much all my other siblings, that I called freaking out at. My statement "I'm not Jewish" didn't get me very far and I ended up on the date. Now let me back up here for a moment, remember that brother Trevor, well everybody kind of thought for a long time that I'd marry him, sadly Trevor passed away when we were 17 years old, there was never really a conclusive reason as to why. Ok, so back to "I'm not Jewish," so I went with him and we doubled with his older brother and another girl. It was fun and we both established it wasn't nearly as awkward as we thought it would be, but I still went home and told my mom "It was fun, but I don't really see anything coming from it..." little did I know...

New at this...

I once upon a time kept a livejournal where I mostly ranted and raved about a lot of really stupid things. I'll try and make this a more upbeat, afterall, life is about a thousand times better than it was when I was doing that. To introduce myself, I've been married just over a year and a half to an amazing man, I have identical twin boys, and I went to culinary school (not a whole lot there huh? I swear I do more than that, it just seems that whenever I'm asked, that's all I can come up with, dang those boxes we put ourselves into). Cooking hasn't been the biggest part of my life right now because once I had those little boys I became a stay at home mom. I do love to cook and bake though, today it was a roasted red pepper and tomato soup, (totally can be used as a sauce to), its so yummy! I occassionally like to sew, it just seems like it takes a lot to get everything set up and my house is kinda tiny. My hubby is in school studying communications, he is also a writer and if he could he would just write everyday, oh and his name is Tyson, I'll tell you how we met a little later on, like maybe tomorrow. My two little guys are Jameson and Jackson, and they are my literal miracle babies, according to the doctor, they never should have happened the way they did. They were premies and so they are still quite tiny for their age, they are tipping the scales about 12 and a half lbs a piece, and they are 8.5 months old! Jackson was born with clubbed feet, so we've learned all about that and will be dealing with that for at least the next 2-3 yrs. It doesn't seem to affect him much, except he learned to scoot on his back and the nurses don't seem to be a big fan of that, the doctor doesn't really seem to care, and I'm with him on this one! I'm not really sure what this is all gonna turn into, there will probably be some cooking stuff maybe a few projects here and there and I'm sure I'll be telling you all about my babies and the adventures of a first time mommy to twins.
